Origin Story

The Truest Adventure started as an interview-based podcast where James “Trey” Monaghan III and Marquest “Quest” Meeks sought to share the incredible stories of everyday heroes. The podcast received amazingly positive feedback. While making their own adventures fit into their active and busy lifestyles, Trey and Quest chose to expand the podcast into an adventure inspiration brand.

Through TĀDV’s multimedia platforms they share oral, written, and visual stories with the aim of motivating people to go beyond their self-imposed boundaries.

Trey as everyone calls him, has lived all over the United States. The bulk of his time was spent living in Colorado and New Orleans. His experiences are as varied as the places he resides: he’s been a ranch hand, a professional comedian, and a bartender. Currently, he’s busy as an entrepreneur and nonprofit volunteer. Spending his nights and weekends working with co-founder Quest on The Truest Adventure.

Quest is an avid runner, hiker, camper, mountaineer, and a visual and oral storyteller. Quest is a lawyer by profession and has prosecuted and tried high-level federal cases in more than 10 jurisdictions over the last ten years. Quest’s interest in pursuing his Truest Adventure spawned from his need for an outlet from the stresses of practicing law. A few of his greatest adventures include climbing Mt. Fuji in Japan, completing The MS50 50-mile Ultra-marathon in under 10 hours, and an overnight canoe trip into the Okefenokee Swamp in mid-July.
